Microsoft Zune lässt auf sich warten

Wir wären die letzten, die ein gutes Gadget unbegründet über Board werfen und haben so unsere Testgeräte schon bestellt. Jetzt kommt aber der Haken: momentan weiß noch kein Mensch, wann Microsofts Zune nach Europa kommt. Aus gut unterrichteten Kreisen ist zu vernehmen, dass dies möglicherweise gar erst 2008 (nein, wir haben uns nicht vertippt!) der Fall ist. Bis dahin kann der iPod vermutlich fliegen…

Wie auch immer, wer erste Reviews lesen möchte findet diese in den USA in Hülle und Fülle, TUAW fasst David Pogue (New York Times) und Walt Mossberg (Wall Street Journal) zusammen:
Pogue and Mossberg both agree that the screen on the Zune is great, and that the UI is comparable, or better than, the iPod in most cases. It also sounds just as good as the iPod, but that is where the praise ends. Pogue wonders why you can’t use Windows Media Player to sync with your Zune (you must use a new software program called, oddly enough, Zune). Mossberg was disappointed in the battery life, and he thought the entire product felt more like a prototype than a final effort.
